STCW 2010 – PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFT AND RESCUE BOAT – OTHER THAN FAST RESCUE BOATS

Description

This course aims to enhance the knowledge and competences to take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat other than fast rescue boats, during and after launching and to manage survivors and survival craft after abandoning ship. The course is available in twin fall or freefall type lifeboats

Prerequisites

Delegates must have completed the STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB) course within five years of attainment; OR Have an STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats  (PSCRB) course older than 5 years and be able to prove having taken part in drills and onboard training as an officer or rating in the last 5 years.

Delegates must be physically fit enough to participate in all practical aspects of the course. In order to verify your fitness, you must fill in a Medical Self Declaration form. Please consult a doctor if you are unsure.

Photographic ID (A Government issued, photographic proof of identity on the day of the course and this should take the form of either a valid Passport or a driving license or a valid discharge book).

The original evidence must be brought with you when attending the course.

Certification

Successful candidates will be awarded with an approved  STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boat other than fast rescue boats certificate, after a short exam.

Revalidation

5 years.

Special Requirements

You should bring a towel and a change of clothes.

Who is this course for?

Any member of crew on a vessel that has a PSCRB certificate.
